PENGARUH TERAPI MUSIK KLASIK TERHADAP PENURUNAN TEKANAN DARAH PADA KLIEN LANSIA DENGAN HIPERTENSI DI PANTI WREDA WISMA HARAPAN ASRI SEMARANG

Background: Hypertension is defined as systolic blood pressure greater than 160 mmHg and diastolic blood pressure greater than 95 mmHg in the elderly population. Hypertension case in Semarang regency occupy the highest number of number two with prevalence of hypertension equal to 27,67%. Elderly hypertension occurs due to changes in aortic wall elasticity decreases, heart valve thickens and becomes stiff, heart's ability to pump blood, loss of elasticity of blood vessels and increased resistance of peripheral blood vessels. Music as a unique stimulus that memepengaruhi psychological and physical responses in improving relaxation to reduce respiration, heart rate and blood pressure.Goal: The purpose of this study was to determine the influence of classical music therapy in lowering blood pressure in the elderly with hypertension in W esta Panti Wisma Harapan Asri Semarang.Method: This study used Experimental design with One Group pre-post test design in one group of treatment of classical music therapy for 3 days with duration of 15 minutes.
