EFEKTIVITAS PENYULUHAN KESEHATAN GIGI DENGAN MEDIA BOOKLET, FLIPCHART DAN VIDEO ANIMASI TERHADAP PENINGKATAN PENGETAHUAN KESEHATANGIGI DAN MULUT SISWA SDN METESEHTAHUN 2018

Background : to prevent dental problems in elementary school children it is important to do the health education through counseling to increase knowledge. The success in the counseling is inseparable from educational methods and the importance of the role of a media. This study aims to determine the effectiveness of dental health education with booklet, flipchart, and video animation media to improve the dental and oral health of students of SDN Meteseh.Method: This type of research is quantitative analytical with quasi experiment method. This research used pretest-postest group design. The sample in this study is 4th grade students of SDN Meteseh as many as 60 students, which is divided into three treatment groups. Each group consists of 20 respondents.Result: Students knowledge of SDN Meteseh on dental health has increased after being given counseling with media booklet, flipchart and animation video.Based on kruskall wellis test, the result of p-value is 0,032 < ? (0,05). This shows that there is a significant difference of effectiveness between counseling with booklet media, flipchart and animation video to increase dental health knowledge of elementary school students of SDN Meteseh, animation video is the most effective media in increasing students knowledge of SDN Meteseh. This is evidenced by the average of video group is 38.10 larger than the booklet and flipchart groups
