Prosedur Pemeriksaan MRI Ankle Pada Kasus Ligamen tear Dengan Menggunakan Head Coil Di Instalasi Radiologi MRCCC Siloam Hospitals Semanggi

Background: According to Westbrook (2008) and Moeller (2003) the MRI examination Ankle Joint using a phased array knee coil/extremity coil/coil circular combination multy-array/flexible coil. Whereas in Radiology Installation MRCCC Siloam Hospitals using a head coil on examination of MRI of the ankle. The aim of this study was to determine the examination procedures MRI Ankle in ligament tear case with use head coil in at Radiology Instalation MRCCC Siloam Hospitals Semanggi.Methods: This type of research is qualitative with case study approach. Data were collected in April - March 2017 in Installation of MRCCC Siloam Hospitals Semanggi with observation method, interviews with radiographers, radiologists and documentation. The data obtained from the study were analyzed by interactive model, making the interview transcripts subsequently reduced and processed in the form of open coding, presented in the form of quotations and then can be drawn conclusions.Result: The results of this study indicate that the MRI Ankle Joint examination procedure with achilles tendon rupture using 6 sequences is, PD SPAIR sagital, axial, coronal with parameter TR 4936-6659 ms, TE 25-30 ms, slice thickness 2.5-4.5 mm FOV and 120-180. T2 TSE axial with the parameter 6133ms, TE and TR 100 ms, slice thickness 3 mm, FOV and 180. Sagittal T1 with parameter TR 650 mm, TE 15 mm, slice thickness, and 4.81 FOV 120. STIR TSE coronal with parameter TR 3622 ms 30 ms, TE, slice thickness 2.5 mm and 130 FOV. Position the patient supine, feet first and using a Head coil. The reason he used head coil was to replace the coil yet flexible setting. This results in anatomical information that already meet the criteria. Where the ligaments tear looks hyperintens so that it can distinguish between pathologies with a normal organ. Advice for MRI examination procedure ankle in Installation Radiology MRCCC Siloam Hospitals clover that is preferably screnning done not only to patients but also to the patient's family, as well as flexible coil existing setting with MRI so the use of coil in accordance with the examination.Conclusion: Pemeriksaan MRI ankle dengan menggunakan head coil dapat menghasilkan informasi anatomi yang sudah memenuhi kriteria, sehingga dapat dibedakan anatara patologi dengan organ normal
