PENGARUH PEMBERIAN EKSTRAK DAUN JAMBU BIJI (PSIDII FOLIUM) TERHADAP PERUBAHAN KADAR PROFIL DARAH PADA REMAJA PUTRIDi SMK Palebon Semarang

Background: Woman adolescent at risk anemia because of menstruation and the diet is not balanced. The management of anemia is iron tablet administration, but the iron tablet has a side effect that is hard stool and nausea, causing adherence drug consumption is reduced. One alternative is to use the anemia prevention used guava leaf extract which can reduce the side effects of nausea and contains antioxidants good for the body and blood profile level.Objective: To prove the effect of guava leaf extract to changes in levels of blood profile in woman adolescent.Methods: This study used Quasy Eksperimental design with pretest-posttest control group design. The dependent variable is the level of blood profile, the independent variable is the effect of guava leaf extract. Samples in this research is class XI woman adolescent total of 36 respondents, comprised of the intervention group were given a guava leaf extract and iron tablet and control groups were given iron tablet. Measurements of blood profiles using laboratory measurements. Results: The extract of guava leaves can increase levels of hemoglobin and platelet counts significantly with p-value 0,042 and 0,003, whereas the levels of hematocrit and red cell count did not change significantly with a p-value 0,332 and 0,537. Conclusion : For health workers, especially midwives can use guava leaf extract as an alternative to prevent anemia to increase the levels of blood profile on woman adolescent
