PERBEDAAN PERILAKU MENYIKAT GIGI DAN STATUS KEBERSIHAN GIGI DAN MULUT PADA IBU HAMIL TRIMESTER 1 DAN TRIMESTER 3 DI PUSKESMAS BANDARHARJO KOTA SEMARANG TAHUN 2017

During pregnancy women experience various physiological changes that lead to hormonal changes. These physiological changes also affect the behavioral changes in maintaining oral health, so pregnant women are more susceptible to dental and oral health problems. Increased hormonal changes in estrogen and progesterone can affect oral hygiene status in pregnant women. This study aims to determine differences in tooth brushing behavior and oral and dental hygiene status in 1st trimester and 3rd trimester pregnant women at Puskesmas Bandarharjo of Semarang. The type of this research is descriptive quantitative with cross sectional design. The population of 131 pregnant women, while the sample consisted of 35 trimester pregnant women 1st trimester and 35 pregnant women with 3rd trimester, purposive sampling method. Data collection was done by checking and filling questionnaires by respondents and using Mann-Withney Test analysis. The results showed that there was difference of knowledge of 1st trimester and 3rd trimester pregnant women with value 0,031 (
