HUBUNGAN PENGETAHUAN DAN MOTIVASI IBU DENGAN PEMBERIAN ASI EKSKLUSIF PADA BAYI 6-8 BULAN DI PUSKESMAS SIWALAN KABUPATEN PEKALONGAN

The infant mortality rate (IMR) of Indonesia in 2015 as many as 22,23 per 1.000 live births. Mortality of baby and toddlers can be prevented by breastfeeding because breast milk contains the appropriate protective and nutrient substances to ensure nutritional needs. This research aimed to knew correlation between knowledge and motivation with exclusive breastfeeding on baby age 6-8 months in Siwalan Public Health Center Pekalongan Regency. This research have done in working area Siwalan Public Health Center Pekalongan Regency. The corresponding research design used analytc with cross sectional approach. Population were mothers of baby age 6-8 motths in Siwalan Public Health Center Pekalongan Regency in Mei 2017 as many as 60 people. The technique of sampling used proportional random sampling. The instrument of data collecting used questionnaire.The result of the study suggested there was knowledge and motivation with exclusive breastfeeding on baby age 6-8 months in Siwalan Public Health Center Pekalongan Regency.From the results of this study was expected health workers should provide counseling to postpartum mothers undergo delivery of the importance of exclusive breastfeeding in baby age 0-6 months
