Acupressure is one of the complementary theraphies for patients with acute Chemotherapy-induced nausea and vomiting, whereas aromatherapy is the use of essential oils that can be used to calm the mind, body and spirit. The combined action can reduce acute chemotherapy-induced nausea and vomiting. The purpose of this research was to identify the effect of the combination of acupressure point P6 and aromatherapy ginger against nausea and vomiting in cancer patients post chemotherapy in Hospital Dr. Moewardi Surakarta.The number of respondents in this study were 17 treatment group respondents and 17 control group respondents. Providing combination point P6 acupressure and aromatherapy ginger weregiven simultaneously 15 minutes given to cancer patients who were experienced nausea and vomiting after chemotherapy.This research method was a quasi-experimental with pre-posttest control group design research method. Sample was taken by consecutive. Analysis of the data by using paired t test and independent t test. The result showed nausea, vomiting pre test were 15.29 for treatment group, 14.11 for control group, while the nausea and vomiting post-test were 5.00 in the treatment group and 7.52 for control group. The results showed an average decline of nausea and vomiting after intervention to intervention group significantly greater than the control group (p value = 0.019). Combination between acupressure point P6 and aromatherapy ginger may significantly reduce nausea and vomiting due to chemotherapy in cancer patients at the Hospital Dr. Moewardi Surakarta. Suggested combination acupressure point P6 and ginger aromatherapy to be applied as a part of nursing care to patients experiencing acute nausea and vomiting due to chemotherapy
