MANY BODY EFFECTS IN X-RAY ABSORPTION EDGES OF Ce COMPOUNDS

Nous faisons une analyse théorique du seuil d'absorption L3 dans les composés soit métalliques soit issolants du La et du Ce. Nous étudions les effets des interactions à N corps dans l'état final et dans l'état initial à l'aide du modèle d'Anderson à 1 site. Une interprétation cohérente du spectre d'absorption L3 et de photoémission de 3d coeur requient de manière essentielle la prise en compte de l'interaction de Coulomb Ufd (entre un électron 4f et un électron 5d photoexcite) et Udc (entre l'électron 5d et le trou de coeur).Theoretical analysis is presented for L3 absorption edges of both insulating and metallic compounds of La and Ce. Effects of many body final state interactions, as well as initial state interactions, are studied by using the single-site Anderson model. In order to give a consistent interpretation for the L3 absorption and the 3d core photoemission spectra, it is essentially important to take account of the Coulomb interactions Ufd (between a 4f electron and a photoexcited 5d electron) and -Udc (between the 5d electron and a core hole)
