The article is devoted to an analytical review of the main areas of theoretical and applied research of parliamentary communication, among which a special attention is given to the theory of political discourse and political linguistics. The prospects for a comparative study of public parliamentary communication are outlined as oneof the comparatively not studied components of political discourse.
