With the rapid development of society and the sustainable growth of population, people's demand for water has been increasing continually. In consequence, more and more sludge was generated from purification process in waterworks. Treating and utilizing the sludge efficiently and safely has becoming more and more important. In this paper, the composition and treatment process of sludge from municipal waterworks was introduced firstly.And then the comprehensive utilization of sludge and the problems among the utilization was focused on.
