It is shown that the effects of configuration interactions on the energy level structure of (l + l')N configurations can be represented in the second order approximation, by effective two and three-particle operators. The results are very similar with those which are valuable for equivalent electrons ; they have been obtained by using second quantization and Feynman graphs.
