The authors studied experimentally two transitions of the SO2 molecule having one common level but with no simple frequency ratio between them. The work described in this paper differs from others in the same field by the use of a swept high frequency as a pumping system and of a fixed low frequency as a pick-up system. As a complement to the studies of the frequencies of the phenomenon, the amplitude variations as a function of the frequency differences for different values of the pressure and of the pumping power were also studied. A theoretical interpretation of the results is proposed using the semiclassical and quantum-mechanical theories of Javan for the three level maser.Les auteurs ont effectué des expériences d'irradiation de deux ...
