In order to show off the influence of the phase space distribution on the mechanical behaviour in plasticity, iron/silver two phase materials have been elaborated via the powder technique. Tensile tests performed in the whole concentration range allow to precise several yielding regimes, either by Lüders band propagation for high iron concentrations (> 70 %) or by homogeneous yielding for lower concentrations. In order to improve the 3D morphological characterization of these materials, 2D morphological measurements have been performed (on a large number of fields but for a narrow concentration range) thanks to an image analysis system. These measurements show that the material can be modelized by means of a boolean scheme, the parameters o...
