The activity concentrations of 226Ra, 232Th, 40K and 235U in soil samples from a bauxite ore deposit site in Western Cameroon were determined by gamma spectrometry using a Broad-Energy Germanium (BEGe6350) detector. The average activity concentrations of 226Ra, 232Th, 40K and 235U were found to be 124.8 ± 58.1, 157.3 ± 67.3, 670.9 ± 272.3 and 5.8 ± 2.7 Bq kg-1, respectively.
