The ν0—3 band of nitric oxide at 1.8 μ was measured with a spectrometer, with a resolving power of 0.09 cm—1 at 6 000 cm—1. The two Q branches were resolved and splitting of the lines was observed in the P-branch and at the beginning and the end of the R-branch.
