The gamma-gamma angular correlation is an important tool in modern nuclear spectroscopy. It gives us the possibility of determining angular momenta of nuclear levels and multipole orders of gamma transitions. In principle, the same information can be obtained if the conversion electrons are measured in stead of the γ rays. This procedure is especially well suited for reasons of. intensity in cases of high conversion coefficients. The principal difficulty which then occurs is the problem of the source. This source must be sufficiently thin to avoid scattering of the electrons and at the same time must show no influence of external fields on the angular correlation.
