The role of the bound hole-phonon interaction in the phonon conductivity of lightly doped p-type III-V semiconductors such as p-GaSb, p-InSb, p-AlSb, p-GaP as well as p-Si has been investigated in the low temperature range where other relevant phonon-scattering processes are caused by the boundary, point-defects and phonons themselves. The experimental values, in general can be explained very well by the elastic scattering of the phonons by the holes in the four-fold degenerate ground state as discussed by Suzuki and Mikoshiba. The adjusted values of the deformation-potential constants for the best agreement between the experimental and theoretical values of the phonon conductivity are, in general, higher than those obtained with static str...
