This paper constitutes the first part of a theoretical study of the emission of secondary ions upon impact of rare gase ions (energy of some keV) on métal targets. We developed a model which allows us to describe the ejection of randomly displaced particles during the cascades following the bombardment. This emission, which has an isotropic feature ("erratic emission"), is to be differentiated from the focussing collision émission ; this émission is responsible for the ejection of atoms outside the closed packed directions of the lattice.
