The Hartree-Fock method is applied to the evaluation of the specific isotope shifts of the four main configurations (3 dN 4 s 2, 3 dN+1 4 s, 3 dN 4 s 4 p and 3 dN+1 4 p) of the arc spectra of the 3 d series. These evaluations are compared with the experimental values available, especially for nickel and copper.
