During the experimental study of fluid hydrodynamic properties in an intense sound wave field, we obtain the effect of streaming in air on a sound wave propagation. Measurements of the angular distribution of this sound wave energy travelling in the fluid give the average vorticity in the fluid. These experimental measuxements are well described by a very simple theoretical analysis in the short time limit when the velocity field is known in the fluid.
