We report the observation of roll and square instabilities induced by various periodical shears in a nematic liquid cell. The experimental threshold curves are compared with the theoretical model of Koch, Rothen, Sadik and Schöri.Dans un liquide nématique soumis à divers types de cisaillements périodiques, nous observons des instabilités en rouleaux et en carrés.
