The structural evolution of an amorphous metallic alloy of composition Ni24Zr76 produced by sputtering was studied at temperatures below the onset of crystallization by means of electrical resistance and shear modulus measurements. Analysis of the variations observed for these two physical parameters leads to the conclusion that two distinct processes are operative in the structural relaxation.
