Nous avons mesuré les constantes de Frank d'un nombre de bases de Schiff. Nous observons que le paramètre K33/K11 diminue si la longueur de la chaîne alkyle s'accroît. Les résultats indiquent que les constantes sont reliées aux dimensions moléculaires et peuvent être expliquées à l'aide de la théorie de Priest.Experimental values are reported for the elastic constants of a number of Schiff's bases. The ratio K33/K11 is found to decrease with increasing alkyl chain length. The results indicate that the elastic constants are related to the molecular dimensions and can be understood qualitatively in terms of the theory of Priest
