Superconducting YBCO films on LaAlO3 substrate were prepared for microwave applications. Microstrip resonators from these films were also developed. The surface resistance of the films was evaluated using the parallel plate resonator technique. The characteristics of the resonators combined with a ferrite component were also investigated at 77 K
