Une étude expérimentale et théorique de l'ionisation multiple du xenon a été effectuée par impact protonique (0.2 - 2.0 MeV) . Les sections efficaces absolues de production d'ions xenon de charge ccmprise entre +1 et +3 ont été mesurées, et des calculs de sections efficaces par sous-couche ont été effectués.
