En utilisant la méthode de détection optogalvanique nous avons observé les résonances acoustiques longitudinales dans une vapeur de sodium à haute pression, excitée par une décharge électrique au-dessous du seuil d'instabilité de l'arc. Une modélisation de la décharge a été effectuée et a permis de déduire des mesures, les propriétés des résonances acoustiques. L'instabilité de l'arc, visible à l'oeil, apparaît pour une amplitude de la pression acoustique plus grande que 6 kPa.Using optogalvanic detection we have observed longitudinal acoustic resonances in a high-pressure sodium discharge well below the arc instability threshold.
