- 1. Results of various methods of revealing dislocations on the surface of single crystals of metals and semiconductors are discussed. - 2. A new method of revealing dislocations by "decoration" with radioactive tracers followed by autoradiography is described. The method described makes use of the preferential diffusion of solute atoms along dislocations in the case of short time diffusion and of the possibility to locate the dislocations on the crystal surface by means of autoradiography. The isotopes Ag110m has been used for diffusion. - 3. A comparison of results of revealing dislocation pits by chemical etching and decoration with radioactive tracers followed by autoradiography is given.- 1.
