In two dimensions, electron-electron interactions can lead to a Wigner crystal phase, whose properties are quite different from that of a standard Fermi liquid. In the presence of disorder this crystal gets pinned and the competition between disorder and the elasticity of the crystal leads to glassy behavior. We compute the transport properties of such a system and show in particular how optical conductivity can be used as a probe of the existence of such a Wigner glass
