On a effectué une étude expérimentale de croissance de grains dans la glace pure et dans la glace dopée avec NaCl, NH4 OH et HF. On a employé des solutions dans le domaine de concentration de 10-1 M à 10-4 M. Les échantillons ont été recuits à des températures comprises entre -2°C et -16°C. Les résultats montrent que la croissance est plus rapide dans la glace dopée avec certains constituants.
