An easy and rapid method for the determination of the optical constants of crystals, within the région of strong absorption is proposed. This method includes the détermination of the reflectivity, under normal incidence, of the sample, in the first instance bare, and then overlaid with, in succession, two thin layers of a transparent material, the second layer being twice as thick as the first. The process has been applied to the study, in the spectral range near to 1 400 cm-1, of five carbonates, four of them uniaxial (smithsonite, siderite, dolomite, dialogite) and one biaxial (cerussite).Nous proposons une méthode simple et rapide de détermination des constantes optiques de cristaux dans les régions de très forte absorption. Cette méthod...
