The evolution of the dielectric permittivity and loss factor under an external applied electric field has been studied in PbMg$_{1/3}$Nb$_{2/3}$O$_3$ ceramics between 80 and 420 K. For a threshold field of 4 kV.cm$^{-1}$, it is possible to induce a ferroelectric transition from the average cubic phase to a macroscopically polar phase. The poling and depoling temperatures depend on the various combinations of thermal treatments and on the applied field strength.
