Commonly, in the design of the seismic-resistant building, the force-based method has been popularly adopted to distribute the effect of earthquake forces to the building structure. This concept uses forces as an approach to simulate the impact of the earthquake on a building. To predict lateral forces of a building structure due to earthquake, Direct Displacement-Based Method (DDBM) can be introduced as an alternative solution. The performance level of a building structure can be categorized based on its damage level.
