A short analysis is made of available data on the relativistic K-shell photo-effect and elastic electron-atom scattering. An expérimental study of the angular distribution of K photo-electrons ejected from thin (0.92 and 1.39 mg/cm2) lead layers by 279 keV photons is described and is shown to support Hultberg's scattering correction.
