A necessidade da solicitação de exames complementares para a entorse de tornozelo baseia-se principalmente na suspeita e na exclusão do diag-nóstico de fraturas. Cerca de 85% das radiografias realizadas em pacientes com le-sões agudas do tornozelo são normais.
