Os fluidos são assumidos como tendo densidades iguais, e a mesma viscosidade e condutividade térmica. O modelo consiste da equação de Navier-Stokes acoplada com a equação de campo de fase dada pela equação Allen-Cahn convectiva, e a equação do transporte de energia para a temperatura.
