Introduction: Diabetes Mellitus (DM) is a group of metabolic diseases with characteristic hyperglycemia that occurs due to abnormalities in insulin secretion, insulin action or both. Hyperglycemia in the long term can lead to damage to blood vessels which blood vessels become narrowed causing organ damage such as kidney failure, diabetic retinopathy and diabetic foot as a result of blood vessels and nerve lesion, coronary heart disease, to stroke.
