Orientador: Marco Aurélio Zezzi ArrudaDissertação (mestrado) - Universidade Estadual de Campinas, Instituto de QuímicaResumo: Com o objetivo de avaliar os efeitos do selênio (Se) e/ou da modificação genética no metabolismo das plantas são realizados estudos de estresse oxidativo, resistência de acumulação de Se e análises metalômicas utilizando folhas de Arabidopsis thaliana modificadas geneticamente (MG) e não modificadas geneticamente (N-MG), e cultivadas em casa de vegetação com irrigação de selenito de sódio. As plantas MG e N-MG estudadas apresentam algumas diferenças devido à presença do selenito. As plantas N-MG, quando irrigadas com a dose superior de Se (308 µg), acumulam 17 % menos Se e sofrem 5 % a mais de redução no crescimento,...
