We investigated the shot noise properties in the diluted-magnetic-semiconductor/semiconductor heterostructures, where the sp-d exchange interaction gives rise to a giant spin splitting when an external magnetic field is applied along the growth direction of the heterostructures. It is found that the noise becomes strongly spin-dependent and can be greatly modulated not only by the external magnetic and electric fields, but also by the structural configuration and geometric parameters. Both the spin-up and spin-down components of the noise spectral density can be greatly suppressed by the magnetic field.
