Based on thermodynamics and shock physics, a new method is proposed for determining temperature of Hugoniot curve including the three phases, i.e., solid, mixing and liquid phase. The electronical contributions both to shock energy and to shock pressure are considered in the method and difficulties of calculating 0 K EOS of materials are avoided successfully. By applying it to aluminum and copper, the results is consistent with experimental data. It is found that the calculated entrance point of mixing phase region on the Hugoniot curves of aluminum and copper are (125.5 GPa, 4705 K) and (231 GPa, 5369 K) respectively, while the exit point of that are (155.6 GPa, 5109 K) and (264.6 GPa, 5599 K).
