Secondary succession in the Zicavo region of Corsica (Mediterranean island): Climate effect. The secondary succession was often studied in Mediterranean area though more rarely in Corsica. The aim of this article is to study the joint effect of the land abandonment and the mesoclimatic variations between valleys, which will enable us to outline proposals for a space management of protected area and for conservation of biodiversity in Corsica mountains. Sites criteria and pedological criteria were taken into account on each plot.
