The plastic deformation and the mechanical properties of three distinct lots of niobium containing varying interstitial and substitutional impurity concentrations were investigated in the intermediate temperature range. Evidence of the strain-aging phenomenon and the Portevin-Le Chatelier effect was found in the three lots.
