We have designed a new wide-band (4 Hz-4 kHz) induction magnetometer for shallow geophysical investigations with artificial magneto-tellurics. The sensor is first described and its specifications are then given : its noise, of the order of magnitude of natural magnetic fields, varies from 1.5 mγ/√Hz (rms) for 10 Hz to 0.012 mγ/√Hz (rms) for 1 kHz (1 my = 10 -8 G).Un nouveau capteur magnétométrique directionnel à induction à large bande passante (4 Hz-4 kHz) a été conçu pour la prospection magnéto-tellurique artificielle à faible profondeur ; sa description et ses caractéristiques sont données : son bruit, de l'ordre de grandeur du bruit magnétique naturel, varie entre 1,5 mγeff/√Hz à 10 Hz et 0,012 mγ eff/√Hz à 1 kHz (1 mγ = 10-8 Oe)
