Atstract. — A method of measurement of the dielectric constant and dielectric losses is presented for frequencies lower than 500 cycles/s. The method has been applied to heulandite which has a very open structure of tectosilicates with canals parallel to [001] and [100] where the water molecules and cations Na+ and Ca++ are very mobile. Two domains of dielectric dispersion have been found in heulandite with critical frequencies of 1 kc/s and 10 c/s respectively. These domains may be attributed to the mobility of Na+ and Ca+ + cations. However, the relaxation times corresponding to these critical frequencies (1.6 × 10—4 s and 1.6 × 10—2 s) are sufficiently close to the one which has been determined for the water molecules in heulandite (4 × ...
