A study has been made of the charged particles emitted from target nuclei Ag, Ta, Au, Pb, Bi and Th, bombarded by 156 MeV protons. The energy and angular distributions for protons, deuterons, tritons and helions have been carried out using a telescope device of solid state detectors. The particles were identified by simultaneous measurements of ΔE/Δx and E values followed by a bidimensional analysis. Energy and angular distributions were found to depend very much on the emitting process and it was possible to distinguish the collective de-excitation process from direct interaction.
