We report ferromagnetic resonance (FMR) and photothermally modulated ferromagnetic resonance (PM-FMR) results for the ferromagnetic alloy Nd2Fe17. Calculations for the ferromagnetic resonance signal with the magnetization in the non-saturated regime are presented. A theoretical model to describe the FMR and PM-FMR spectra of this material in the form of a non-oriented pressed powder is discussed and fair agreement between experimental and calculated spectra is obtained. Our own numerical values of magnetization obtained over a wide temperature range are used for the PM-FMR signal calculation as well as resonance field and linewidth from our FMR experiments.1284167110111
