ATLAS, one of the two multi-purpose detectors at the proton-proton collider LHC, will start taking physics data in 2007. The construction of its electromagnetic calorimeter is well advanced and modules of the barrel and end-cap parts have been tested with electron beams at CERN. Results on energy resolution, uniformity of the energy response, position and time resolution are presented
