The deposition of well-adherent diamond films onto the outer surface of cylindrical substrates was performed. Several diameter sizes and different substrates materials were studied. Diamond films adherence was improved by increasing the substrate surface roughness and by pyrolising castor oil or polyaniline polymer on substrate surface to accelerate the formation of diamond initial nuclei.
