A study of the dependence of elastic behaviour of polycrystalline mixed Ni-Zn ferrites of different compositions on temperature and magnetic field (ƊE-effect) has been made using a ultrasonic method. The variation of Young's modulus with temperature follows Wachtman's equation. The dependence of the Young's modulus on magnetic field is explained using a theoretical model suggesteds by Lewis and Street
