The optical frequency being larger than the microwave ones by four to five orders of magnitude, their measurement with respect tot he cesium clock is very difficult. Up to now, these r asurements need complex frequency chains to bridge the large gap between the cesium frequency and the optical domain. Now, there is a huge simplification thanks to the hroadband frequency comb generated by the femtosecond axer. In this paper we present' this subject and the most recent developments.
