Gas diffusion and permeability of porous media play an important role in the field of environmental geo-technology, oil engineering, waste repository, etc. In this paper, the photoacoustic method was used to determine diffusion coefficients of soils. The results, in agreement with the literature values, assist in understanding the mechanism of a gas transport in those media
